Morning vs Evening Skincare Routine

“I regret taking such good care of my skin” – said no one ever! A good skin care regime is important to keep our skin healthy and glowing. But there are so many products available on the market which can be sometimes a little overwhelming. Have you ever walked into a drugstore and felt like you need to buy everything to take a proper care of your skin? The skin care routine does not need to be that complicated. Instead of spending your hard-earned money on loads of different products, focus on a few basic rules that will make your life easier and your skin will love them: cleanse, hydrate every morning and evening using gentle products with high quality ingredients, protect your skin from the sun damage and exfoliate once a week with a gentle but effective exfoliant that won’t irritate your skin.

 

 

MORNING

 

During the day our skin is exposed to the sun rays, pollutants and bacteria. Therefor the primary focus should be on protection. If your moisturizer does not contain broad spectrum (protects you from both UVA and UVB rays) SPF 30 use broad spectrum sunscreen before you apply your makeup. As a facial moisturizer you can use facial oil or serum followed by cream or you can use only the facial oil/serum, that depends on your preference. If your skin is naturally dry, you may want to follow with cream to ensure your skin is enough hydrated.

 

STEP 1: Wash your face with mild cleanser

STEP 2: Apply alcohol-free toner

STEP 3: Apply facial oil or serum and / or cream

STEP 4: Apply sun screen (if your moisturizer does not contain SPF)

 

 

 

EVENING

 

At night it is the time when your skin regenerates and repairs. The steps are almost the same as in the morning, except you do not need the SPF protection. Once a week, it is important to exfoliate the top layer of the skin and give the skin some extra nourishment and collagen support.

STEP 3: Apply alcohol-free toner

STEP 3: Apply facial oil or serum and / or cream

 

   

Once a week in the evening

STEP 3: Use gentle exfoliating product suitable for your skin type. SAKURY FACE LENS is suitable for all skin types including problematic skin and does not require any gel. Bear in mind that some of the exfoliants available on the market are not suitable for problematic skin and may irritate the skin. Rinse off your face and neck with lukewarm water.

STEP 4: Apply natural face mask containing high quality ingredients. Rinse off your face and neck with lukewarm water.

STEP 5: Apply alcohol-free toner

STEP 6: Apply facial oil or serum and / or cream

Now that you have learnt how to take care of your skin, do not forget to follow a few more rules that will ensure your skin will not get unnecessarily irritated or damaged:

 

  • Change your bed sheets regularly, as your pillow case may be source of sebum, bacteria, dirt etc which can lead to the skin irritation.

  • Get enough “Beauty sleep” to allow your body and skin to repair properly.

  • Do not apply your skincare products only on your face, focus also on your neck and decolletage as these parts of our body are often neglected.

  • To make sure your skin gets the best care, use high quality products with natural ingredients.
